The Residence Maintenance Worker position is responsible for the day to day general maintenance of the Residence buildings. Work will be done based on responding to a work order system as well as scheduled tasks required for the good maintenance and upkeep for on-campus, student living.
Lethbridge Polytechnic Residence houses up to 549 students through the academic year. At this time, most responsibilities are in response to arising needs for students. In summer, May through August work demands focus on preventative maintenance strategies working around short and long term summer contracts and conferencing.
Responsible for repairs due to wear and tear, damages, and other requirements as assigned. Services may include repairs to the interior and exterior of buildings, drywall and painting, plumbing issues, furniture repair, appliances, lock repairs, and snow removal.
The successful candidate for this position will have a variety of skills related to property management, general maintenance, and customer service, including a strong work ethic and ability to perform duties fairly independently.
AUPE Class Level 8 Step 1 $25.69 per hour
