Location & Travel

Primary location: Greater Montreal, Eastern Townships, Laval and Laurentides. Workplace: Territory indicated with a home office based in Montérégie. Relocation offered: No. Travel: 11%-25%. Non‑competition clause: Yes. Vehicle supplied by Armstrong.

Compensation

Base salary range: $69,210 to $103,810 CAD per year. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience and other relevant factors.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the territory plan to achieve sales goals and grow the business.
  • Promote new and existing products to architects, designers, consultants, owners and facility managers for consideration on commercial construction projects.
  • Assist architects and designers in writing specifications for Armstrong Commercial Ceilings, Suspension Systems, Architectural Specialties and wall systems.
  • Identify and track projects in Salesforce through the bid phase and pass along to other members of the sales team to close work with distributors and contractors.
  • Grow the business and increase market share by creating customer value and competitive advantage.
  • Learn and continuously improve through individual and team learning and development initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science or related field or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of architectural sales experience within building materials, commercial construction or a similar industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple relationships and priorities.
  • Ability to plan effectively, both short and long term.
  • Working knowledge and experience with construction, contracting and distribution.
  • Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Windows applications. Salesforce experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of specification sales, market segments, customers and distribution channels.
  • Proven success in architectural selling.
  • Strong work ethic, desire to learn and coachable.
