Your area of focus.

The Auto Body Repair Technician is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have been damaged in accidents or collisions. This includes inspecting and evaluating damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, repairing dents, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards.

What drives your day‑to‑day?
  • Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed
  • Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
  • Mask and tape, prime and paint body surfaces, using tools such as paint spray guns and motorized sanders
  • Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job
What are the must‑haves…
  • Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset
  • Completion of a related post‑secondary program and or training courses
  • Knowledge of manufacturers’ repair/refinishing processes & adherence to processes
  • Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost‑effectively
  • I‑CAR certification training and I‑CAR certification would be considered assets
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving history
