Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Experience
  • Experience in welding and sheet metal required.
  • Experience in automotive repairs and adaptation preferred.
  • Experience using all types of machine shop equipment required (e.g. lathes, milling machines, metal bending equipment, precision measuring tools and a variety of other machinery and hand tools required).
  • Experience in working with a large variety of materials (ABS, polyurethane, different foams, steel, aluminum, wood, etc.) required.
  • Experience working with disabled persons preferred.
  • Experience in assessing and solving problems of wheelchair seating preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, or equivalent.
  • Certified Red Seal Machinist with a minimum of 3 Years Journeyperson Experience required.
  • 2-year Manufacturing Technician Diploma or one-year Precision Metal Machining Certificate preferred.
  • Welding, Fabrication, Repair, and Basic CNC Design and Programming with regards to a wide range of materials required.
Certification / Licensure / Registration
  • Certificate of qualification in trade of machinist (certificate and red Seal numbers to be supplied).
  • Valid Manitoba driver’s license and access to a vehicle required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
