Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital.

Under the direction of the Program Manager is responsible for the nursing care of assigned patients and assists the Program Manager in follow-up of patient care and nursing practice issues. In conjunction with the Operating Room staff and OR Resource Leader, plans for staff educational needs.

Dawson Creek & District Hospital is a Full Service Community Hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 acute care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the orthopaedic trauma and surgical centre for the northeast region of BC.

Construction is underway on the new Dawson Creek & District Hospital, anticipated to open in spring 2027. This state‑of‑the‑art facility will be over 50% bigger than the current hospital and will feature 70 beds, modern patient care spaces, and expanded services to meet the growing needs of the community.

Dawson Creek’s wide blue skies and the rolling foothills of the Northern Rockies surround the city. It is also known as the Mile Zero City, and marks the start of the Alaska Highway, a 2,400 km long highway connecting Alaska and the Yukon to Western Canada and the United States. Dawson Creek has a population of approximately 12,500 and provides primary service to a population of approximately 20,000, helping serve the larger population of the Peace River Region of 60,000.
