A regional health authority in Alert Bay, BC, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional care as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, administering direct medical support, and responding to emergencies to ensure client safety. Candidates must have BC RN registration and two years of related experience, with required certifications in Basic Life Support and preferred Advanced Cardiac Life Support. The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to clients as a member of a multidisciplinary team; is responsible and accountable for coordinating and administering direct client care utilizing the nursing process; provides direction to staff and volunteers; and responds to emergency situations to safeguard clients, visitors and staff in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice.
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant and two (2) years' recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. experience. . Basic Life Support, Level C required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Emergency Room, ICU and Critical Care preferred. Valid BC Drivers License.
