Overview
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care environments. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. In addition to English proficiency, Punjabi is required.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and medical history.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings, including hospitals and nursing homes.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (experience with Cerner is a plus).
- Assist in pain management strategies for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or other chronic conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment while adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in acute care, medical office, home care, or laboratory settings preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
- Knowledge of pain management techniques is desirable.
