Regional Manager, Building & Construction (Prairies)

Scope of Position:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Manager, Building & Construction to lead sales and business development initiatives across the Prairies. Reporting to the National Sales Director, you will be responsible for expanding PERI’s market presence. With a strong pulse on the construction market, you excel at building and maintaining key relationships with developers, general contractors and other influence partners. You are a visionary leader with a proven ability to elevate teams to their highest potential, while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external customers.

What you\'ll do on a typical day:
  • Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Technical Sales Consultants to maximize performance and potential.
    • Set clear sales targets and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure goal achievement.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting professional development and growth.
  • Market Strategy:
    • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
    • Develop and execute market growth strategies, including gathering, analyzing, and communicating insights on competitors, market conditions, customer profiles, and economic influences.
    • Define and implement detailed approaches for existing and new markets, covering customers, segments, products, and regions.
  • Business Development:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and execute regional sales goals.
    • Oversee bidding activities, ensuring compliance with strategy and material availability.
    • Lead customer negotiations and close sales effectively.
    • Create and present compelling proposals and presentations to clients.
    • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Monitor projects regarding material status, needs, returns, and closeouts.
    • Monitor the job pipeline and forecast material needs.
    • Ensure Technical Sales Consultants effectively use PERItrack, CRM, and Power BI daily.
    • Coordinate project start-ups and supervise execution and close-outs.
    • Other related duties as assigned.
What you\'ll need to be successful:
  • Post‑secondary education, preferably a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical sales and business development, including 3+ years of people management with demonstrated success in developing and leading high‑performing sales teams.
  • Construction industry experience; knowledge of formwork and scaffolding systems is an asset.
  • Strong initiative in managing strategic accounts, with personal ownership in assessing strengths, identifying areas for improvement, and adjusting strategies to drive results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Goal‑oriented, entrepreneurial, and self‑motivated.
