Our Recreation Department is looking for a dedicated Recreation Facilities Supervisor to join the team.
Responsibilities
- As a Recreation Facilities Supervisor, you will report to the Manager and supervise the front-line guest services team in various facilities throughout the city. Facility operations include reporting and tracking maintenance items, logistics for community events, budget reporting, data collection for recreation and culture facilities, health and safety program implementation (including building inspections and emergency response drills), and customer service.
- Supervision of the team lead and guest services team, working out of various City facilities.
- Reporting maintenance needs and following up to ensure completion.
- Seasonal facility management, including arranging annual opening and closing security needs.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the use of city recreation and cultural facilities.
- Budget development and monthly financial reporting.
- Monitors customer service related to the provision of recreation and culture services and facility management. Assist with the development and execution of major community events.
- Collaboration with the entire department, including other departments within the service area.
Qualifications
- Ability to make sound judgments, gather information from a variety of sources, and articulate findings effectively through verbal and written communication.
- Thorough understanding of marketing principles and practices to ensure a high degree of public accessibility to programs and services.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and the techniques of budget preparation, financial reporting, and the preparation of fees and charges.
- Ability to understand and monitor several activities and a range of projects that can involve complex situations and often conflicting needs and interests.
- A university degree with courses specific to recreation, sports administration, business, or public administration and a minimum of five years of experience, particularly in recreation and facility management.
Hours
The standard workweek consists of an average of 40 hours, with the specific schedule determined by the immediate supervisor.
Compensation
Salary range of $36.11 to $46.69 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement.
