Stacker Forklift Operators Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Operating a specialized reach stacker to lift, transport, and stack 20-40-53ft containers, and sometimes shunt chassis and dry vans.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhering strictly to all safety guidelines, protocols, and occupational health and safety regulations to prevent accidents in a hazardous environment.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Performing routine pre-operational checks and preventative maintenance on the equipment, and reporting any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
  • Coordination and Communication: Coordinating container movements with supervisors, truck drivers, and logistics teams using radio communications to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Documentation and Inventory: Maintaining accurate records of container movements, updating yard lists for dispatch, and potentially using inventory management systems or barcode scanning equipment.
  • Work Environment: Working outdoors in various weather conditions, which may include night or weekend shifts, and occasionally operating other equipment like a forklift or skid steer as needed

  • Valid certifications
  • Minimum two years of experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reach Stacker, Tele Handler and Tractor trailer Experience is required
