JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role ensures perfect product, every time by upholding the highest standards of quality, food safety, and compliance across the production floor. You will lead hands-on product testing and quality inspections, monitor critical control points, and support audits to ensure all products meet regulatory, HACCP, GMP, and Health & Safety requirements. You will coach and support manufacturing team members, reinforcing best practices and a strong food safety culture. Working cross-functionally with Production, Packaging, and Maintenance, you will drive continuous quality improvement and performance through measurement, benchmarking, and improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perfect Product Every time

  • Ensure that the team is creating the highest quality products which continue to delight our customers
  • Lead product testing, sampling and evaluation to ensure within specifications and regulations and perfect product every time
  • Support monitoring product CCPs
  • Complete pre-operation and operational inspections
  • Manage collection of retention samples
  • Ensure Health & Safety, HACCP and GMP procedures are met
  • Collaborate with Packaging, Production & Maintenance to cultivate a continuous quality improvement mentality on the production floor
  • Support internal and 3rd party audits and other compliance related activities

Champion People

  • Coach manufacturing team members to ensure Health & Safety, HACCP and GMP procedures and product quality standards are met

Drive Performance

  • Lead the measurement of internal and external quality measurement benchmarks

Other

  • Be trained in other areas and roles to be able to act as a back-up as required
  • Lead and/or support continuous improvement projects and tasks within different departments
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING

  • College, University or Technical degree or diploma, preferably in food science, food quality or other related field
  • Experience working in a HACCP approved food or beverage manufacturing facility is a plus
  • A strong commitment to food safety culture, GMP’s and HACCP
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all functional areas to support a common goal
  • Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel. Ability to analyze data in Excel, use pivot tables and charts
  • Must be available to work day, afternoon and night shifts along with weekends as required.
