The successful candidate will be working a mixture of on‑site and off‑site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full‑time Quality Control Associate to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team.
The Quality Control Associate (QCA), Quality Control (QC), under the direction of the Quality Control Manager (QCM), QC supports the implementation and monitoring of the performance and activities of the Corporate QC Program. This program is used to fulfil regulatory requirements related to the manufacturing and testing of blood and blood components.
This position ensures, by means of sound application or Risk Management principles, the safety, efficacy and quality of all blood products, blood components and services offered by Canadian Blood Services through full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and all other applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
The QCA, QC, ensures that the Corporate QC Program supports the requirements and standards for quality control in the manufacturing process. The QCA ensures that Canadian Blood Services sites have Operating Procedures necessary to perform inspection, blood component testing, results evaluation and reporting. Leverages the Quality Event Management program when required for product or process deviations. Acts as a QC resource for the organization and as a designate for the QCM in his/her absence.
