  • Verify numerical accuracy through calculations and comparisons, ensuring data is based on the correct governing evidence assessment.
  • Identify and document errors, omissions, and necessary modifications.
  • Ensure correct survey data processing and review land titles, title documents, and Public Land Standing Reports.
  • Communicate with Field Crew and Project Manager for verification and with CAD Technicians to correct plan errors.
  • Complete the Plan Checker Checklist and suggest updates to quality control checklists as needed.
  • Stay current with survey techniques, legislation, and industry codes.
  • Manage workload efficiently to meet project timelines.
YOUR SKILLS
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Diploma in Geomatics Technology, OR Design and Drafting Technology, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Previous experience working on SK survey plans.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3-D coordinate calculation software.
  • Understanding of ISC regulatory requirements, Western Canada Township setup (DLS), and field survey and traversing.
  • Ability to read and interpret information from survey plans, maps, field notes, and typical job set‑up search results.
  • Active participation in Caltech Group Inc.’s health and safety program.
  • Strong commitment to excellence, attention to detail and time management.
It would also be an asset if you had:
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Software.
  • An understanding of regulatory requirements of upstream oil and gas related survey work.

If you are motivated by success, career growth potential and a great team, we encourage you to apply today!
