Job description

Salary: $95,000-$115,000

Relocation Assistance- Yes(only within Canada)

Day-to-day Responsibilities:
  • Manage Quality continuous improvement initiatives, including product and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Create and maintain accurate QA records for all formulas, physical testing, and specifications.
  • Create and review technical documents to support product development projects (i.e. Specifications, Content Disclosures, Manufacturing Batch Sheets, etc.).
  • Approve, release and communicate raw materials, bulk and finished goods according to established procedures.
  • Request and retrieve technical information (specifications, drawings and standards) from various sources to assist in resolving quality issues as necessary.
  • Plan and direct activities concerned with the application, and maintenance of quality standards for Manufacturing Processes (Compounding, Finished Goods and or Fulfillment).
  • Ensure standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation are being followed accordingly.
  • Ensure timely completion of investigation of Out-of-Specification production and initiate root cause/corrective and preventative actions to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality or safety concerns.
  • Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with cosmetic regulations globally (e.g., US FDA, Health Canada, EU).
  • Manage regulatory documentation, ingredient compliance reviews, and product registration dossiers.
  • Review and approve product labels, packaging, and promotional materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including ingredient listings, warnings, claims, and cosmetic allergen labeling.
  • Assess the safety, efficacy, and regulatory status of cosmetic ingredients to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Manage and oversee product recalls, if necessary, by coordinating with relevant departments and regulatory agencies.
  • Represent the company during regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring compliance and addressing any findings.
  • Perform special projects and assignments in support of the unit or facility as defined by the Director, Research, Innovation & Quality, CSO.
