Description

Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in Edmonton, AB. In this role, you will identify and address psychological barriers impacting clients’ ability to return to work and provide targeted psycho-education to support their recovery journey.

You will work with injured workers experiencing acute and chronic pain, traumatic injuries, and/or brain injuries, delivering evidence-based psychological services in a collaborative, team-focused environment. This position is ideal for a clinician with a background in clinical, counseling, or rehabilitation psychology who is passionate about functional recovery and meaningful outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

Deliver psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting injured workers.

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide counseling focused on facilitating return-to-work outcomes.

Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups, including relaxation training classes to address disability‑related challenges.

Mentor undergraduate Psychology Interns and support their professional development.

Contribute to program development and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with psychology peers and rehabilitation professionals to ensure best practices and high‑quality client care.

Participate in specialized teams (e.g., Complex, Traumatic Psychological Injury, or Brain Injury teams) to support client needs and professional growth.

What You Must Have

Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology.

Active registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.

Completion of an internship from a CPA‑accredited facility (or equivalent).

Psychologists must have one of these three certifications: EMDR, PE, or CPTE.

Preference given to candidates who: Have completed 1,600 hours of supervised practice and have successfully completed the EPPP.

Experience in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting.

Experience providing psychological assessment and treatment for a range of disorders.

Experience working with individuals experiencing physical injuries and/or chronic pain.

Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical documentation skills.
