Job description

Our client, an established construction company that undertakes building & infrastructure projects nationally, is looking to recruit a Project Planner to be based in Galway. Sample portfolio projects include both public and private sector – residential, commercial, offices, civic, hospitality, education, medical, and infrastructure.

This role will be full-time and located in Galway.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain Contract/Project Programmes, providing monthly progress reports.
  2. Collaborate with project managers to establish realistic timelines and identify critical activities.
  3. Gather information from project managers, engineers, and team members to update schedules and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  4. Assess project schedules for risks, propose mitigation strategies, and develop contingency plans.
  5. Deliver regular reports on project schedules, progress, and issues, offering recommendations for enhancements and optimizations.
Key Requirements
  1. 3rd Level degree in the relevant discipline.
  2. Minimum 3 years within the construction industry.
  3. Experience with previous contractors is desirable.
  4. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: up to €70,000 with pension, life insurance, bonus, mileage, etc.
