Job Posting: Project Manager – Property Assessment Services

Location: Remote (Eastern or Atlantic Time Zone)

Duration: 12 months (October 6, 2025 – October 5, 2026)

Renewal Options: Two optional 6-month extensions

About the Role

Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support its Property Assessment Services (PAS) team in delivering several strategic initiatives. These initiatives aim to enhance internal processes, systems, and technologies, ultimately benefiting property owners across New Brunswick. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of short-term outcomes (3–6 months each), working closely with PAS leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full project lifecycle activities: initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure.
  • Define project scope, approach, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, document requirements/user stories, and organize work into sprints.
  • Manage scope, resources, timelines, costs, risks, and communications.
  • Conduct Agile ceremonies and project status meetings.
  • Report progress to management.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and resistance points.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, QA, Service Desk, and executive leadership.
  • Produce high-quality project documentation and delivery artifacts.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT system-related projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proven experience delivering full project lifecycles for at least one IT transformational project.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Clarity) and techniques (e.g., WBS, Kanban, Risk Management, OCM).
  • Demonstrated ability to engage diverse stakeholders and technical units.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including in-house and external resources.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in property appraisal, mapping, or property tax policy initiatives is an asset (MUST HAVE).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Broadcom Clarity, Azure DevOps, and Remedy.
  • Current certification in PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in or with the Canadian public sector.

  • Defined project scope and executable plans.
  • Documented requirements and user stories.
  • Sprint planning and execution.
  • Status reports and steering committee updates.
  • Risk mitigation strategies and documentation.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
