Job description

Join Wesbell and help shape the future of telecom infrastructure in British Columbia. We are currently seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to lead end-to-end project execution, from initiation and planning through to completion and close-out. This is a key role in ensuring successful project delivery, customer satisfaction, and financial performance across our operations in BC.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Take full ownership of assigned projects and ensure successful delivery.
  • Drive schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate across departments to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Serve as the central communication point between Sales, Field Operations, Executives, and Technicians, ensuring each stakeholder receives the documentation and updates relevant to their role.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to forecast and manage material needs for long-term projects, including costing and inventory planning.
  • Oversee all project phases:
    • Initiation & Planning: Define project scope, roles, responsibilities, specifications, reporting methods, and develop project documentation including charters, scorecards, and procurement plans.
    • Control: Maintain change control and issue logs.
    • Execution: Manage schedules and resolve issues proactively.
    • Close-Out: Ensure all billing is completed with supporting documentation (as-builts, test results, reports), all costs accounted for, and materials reconciled.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates (schedules, status reports, issue logs).
Education (Theoretical Training):
  • Post-secondary Education
  • Project Management Certification
Job Requirements/ Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience.
  • Telecom industry experience is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects with multiple stakeholders and large customer bases.
  • Comfortable communicating at all organizational levels—internally and externally.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in financial tracking and reporting.
  • Proven ability to build and lead effective project teams.
