Working with Project Managers onsite, this role supports the planning, scheduling, execution, and completion of projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, field teams, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Strong communication, organization, and safety focus are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Help develop project plans, schedules, and identify milestones alongside the Project Manager and team members.
  • Ensure necessary equipment, materials, and personnel are on-site as per the project schedule.
  • Act as the main point of contact and coordinate communications for project teams and departments.
  • Provide project managers and stakeholders with regular updates on project schedules, budgets, and risks.
  • Maintain project records, prepare reports, and support weekly project controls meetings.
  • Audit LEMs, monitor project status, and support construction/project scheduling.
  • Assist with cost forecasting, variance analysis, invoicing, and SAP financial transactions.
  • Support procurement, change management, and general administrative duties onsite.
  • Coordinate camp accommodations for new projects, including obtaining pricing, exploring options, managing logistics, and leading camp requirements.
  • Book personnel for camps, manage camp concerns, communications, and overflow issues.
  • Manage fuel logistics for Far North sites.
  • Coordinate flights and charter bookings for major Far North project sites, and maintain and update flight manifests where applicable.
  • Develop and coordinate the Emergency Response Plan, including helipad site planning, STARS contracts, and other site-specific requirements.
  • Coordinate gate passes and provide support for site access/pass issues for Key Lake mine and other Far North project sites.
  • Manage travel planning logs for work crews involved in Far North projects.
  • Promote and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety in all project activities.
  • Maintain flexibility in work schedule as required to support project needs.

Location:

  • Office-based in Saskatoon, SK (primary), with some travel to Key Lake, Island Falls, and other Far North sites as required.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (mix of project coordination and project controls; utility, energy, or large industrial construction experience preferred).
  • Field-based experience on large industrial sites is required.

  • Proficiency with project controls tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, and Excel.

  • PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
