Position Summary

Collaborate across departments to shape healthcare through innovation and strategic leadership.

The Program / Service Specialist researches, develops, implements, and improves clinical practices, processes, documentation, reporting, and clinical data to support effective care in Northern Health departments. They oversee and facilitate quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with clinical leaders, IT services, managers, physicians, and staff.

This role acts as a liaison and change agent for clinical care areas, identifying opportunities for improvement, analyzing needs, and translating them into standardized practices and electronic health record use. They develop options with stakeholders and lead consultations to implement solutions, engaging regularly with clinical educators and end-users, including travel to NH facilities.

As a Data Steward, the specialist considers the broader impact of processes on data quality and healthcare outcomes, working organization-wide to establish data standards. They lead project coordination, process improvements, and strategic initiatives, inspiring others through facilitation, communication, and fostering a culture of competence and excellence.

Starting salary ranges from $88,990 to $111,237, based on education, experience, and comparable roles.
