Overview

Required immediately, our LOCAL Abbotsford BRANCH is seeking a full-time Laminate Production Worker to join our team.

Headquartered in Winnipeg MB with 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest, FLOFORM Counter-tops manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface counter-tops a year!

Responsibilities

• The production worker is responsible for the production of laminate countertops at various stages in the manufacturing process, including operating machinery, assembling materials or equipment, and carrying out inspections and quality control for the final product.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and observe and adhere to all safety procedures while being an active member of the production team.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand measurements
• Basic mathematical skills and good understanding of fractions
• Demonstrated knowledge of hand woodworking tools and the operation of power tools is considered an asset
• Attention to detail
• Able to operate a forklift or obtain license is considered an asset
• Able to lift 60lbs-100lbs regularly

Desired Skills & Experience

• Cutting and finishing: read the order information on the tape and adjust saw angles, mark and cut to order specifications, conduct quality control checks, glue and finish edges, sand rough edges, and perform final quality control
• Line Coving: read order information, set up and operate coving and related equipment, shape the backsplash, perform quality checks
• Core Marking: remove and prepare cores, program core builder, monitor levels, stack cores safely
• Assembler: glue and clamp mitres, apply shims, perform quality checks, assemble and prepare for shipping
• Line Postformer: verify spray coverage, apply laminate, set width, and run through postforming equipment
• Special Core Maker: prepare and cut cores to width, calculate sizes from order sheets
• Line Sprayer: select core, clean surface, adjust spray width, and verify spray coverage
• Lay out: select laminate size, measure and mark, assign to postform line
