We currently have an exciting opportunity a Production Planner. This role is based in our Bermondsey Plant in Toronto, Ontario and reports to the Production Manager. Job Summary

We are currently looking a Production Planner to create and maintain and finite weekly schedule for a production facility with injection moulding machines. The individual will work with different departments to ensure everything is ready for production.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain production schedule daily. Review and discuss in morning meetings.
  • Generate production schedule daily after back flush from the schedulers workbench into machines based on MES history. Work with Mould and Setup department to ensure everything is ready for production, seek to reduce setups, priority flag items and optimize schedule.
  • Coordinate with plant production teams to keep them informed with changes to the schedule, and provide daily feedback on schedule attainment.
  • Maintain master data in our planning system ensuring planning records are up to date and accurate.
  • Respond to inquiries from sales, customer service, and manufacturing in a timely manner.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools and provide weekly / monthly reporting to the Plant Manager.
  • Calculate inventory requirements for WIP on a daily basis.
  • Coordinate with purchaser to prioritize back order and ensure availability of raw materials, components and packaging.
Qualifications & Experience

  • Post-Secondary Education, APICS (CPIM) or equivalent experience in production planning
  • Strong excel skills required.
  • SAP scheduling experience would be considered an asset.
