JOB SUMMARY :

Lantic is recruiting for the position of Product Marketing Manager based in Toronto. Reporting to the Director of Sales, Retail, and Distribution, the Product Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role within our Commercial Team, contributing to the growth of one of Canada's oldest brands. The incumbent will lead product marketing strategies that drive value across multiple channels—including industrial, consumer, and export—and will help enhance the performance of our sugar portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead the development of product roadmaps, assess competitive landscapes, and understand conditions affecting product fit.
  • Determine relevant insights through research to map unmet customer needs and prioritize solutions that help both Lantic and our customers succeed.
  • Drive marketing strategies including customer and product segmentation, value propositions, product positioning, key messaging, sales enablement (sell sheets, presentations, product databases, etc.), and traditional media (print, social, etc.).
  • Own analytics related to product performance : P&Ls, sales velocity, and channel insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Production, QA, Finance, and Operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on product, customer, and performance data.
  • Champion a customer-first approach across all strategic marketing activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a Brand Management or Product Marketing role, ideally in Food / FMCG brands.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • B2B marketing experience.
  • Exceptional, well-rounded communication skills.
  • Above-average Excel skills; experience with Power BI, SQL, and asset management.
  • Bilingualism (French & English) is considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel domestically (3-5 times per year) and internationally (1-2 times per year). A valid passport is required.
  • Sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, lead with trust, influence others, and deliver on commitments.
  • Intellectual curiosity, creative thinking, and prioritization skills.
