A community mental health organization in Peel Region is looking for a dedicated post-secondary placement student for an unpaid role in their Recovery West Team. This position will support adult clients in group programming, promoting mental wellness in a peer-focused setting. Ideal candidates are current students in social work or related fields. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to supporting mental health recovery efforts.
We are looking for a post-secondary placement student to join our Recovery West Team. The placement students will promote mental health recovery by supporting group programming and direct client work in a peer-focused setting. Recovery West provides a welcoming space for adults living with mental illness and provides opportunities that support mental wellness and recovery.
The placements are unpaid and will be up to 4 months long and for students looking to complete preferably 300 or more placement hours, beginning in Winter 2026. This placement has alternating shifts between 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
Status : Unpaid Post-Secondary Student Placement
Location : 601-7700 Hurontario St., Brampton. Due to the nature of this program, this role is on-site and / or community based.
