Job description

Our client is a multi-national major financial powerhouse that is publicly listed. They are looking for an interim Junior insurance/re-insurance Portfolio Manager for an initial term of 6 months. This is an on-site role, located downtown Toronto.

As the insurance/re-insurance Portfolio Manager, you are responsible foroverseeing the administration of insurance and/or reinsurance accounts and contracts, from establishing and maintaining contractual data, processing the insurance and/or reinsurance account bookings, claims handling and managing the related cash flow. You will also support the underwriters in administrative activities related to the underwriting process. This includes end to end account handling and reconciliations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor / completed commercial apprenticeship (ideally in re-/insurance company) or equivalent with 2+ years of hands‑on experience,
  • Working experience in (re-/insurance) accounting and underwriting assistance and/or controlling preferable
  • Advanced MS Office skills (focus on MS Excel, Power Query)
