The successful candidate will provide technical support in preparing joint use aerial permits while adhering to national standards. Qualifications

  • Graduate from a Technical college program preferably in Structural or civil engineering.
  • Working knowledge of pole line design documents and specifications.
  • Experience with CSA and AEUC codes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare conceptual designs, layouts, and detailed pole line designs.
  • Conduct field surveys and perform structure loading calculations.
  • Draft and review construction drawings and permit applications.

Skills

Knowledge of pole line design and codes
Strong communication skills
Computer skills, especially MS Excel
Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS
Experience with pole line analysis software

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
Technical college program in Structural or Civil engineering
