We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager – Supply Chain & Operations for one of our valued clients in the manufacturing sector, specifically in food production. This is an excellent opportunity to lead full-cycle plant operations, optimize supply chain functions, and foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Position Summary

The Plant Manager will oversee all operational aspects of a food manufacturing facility, including production, supply chain, staffing, maintenance, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on leader with a strong background in manufacturing operations and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage daily plant operations including production, procurement, scheduling, inventory, and maintenance
  • Align supply chain strategies with production goals to ensure operational excellence
  • Supervise and mentor a cross-functional team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff
  • Monitor and improve KPIs to drive productivity and reduce waste
  • Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Work closely with leadership on budgeting, planning, and forecasting
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production and logistics workflows
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure timely material availability
  • Develop and implement employee training and development programs
Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of plant or operations management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing both production and supply chain functions
  • In-depth understanding of supply chain, logistics, production workflows, and inventory control
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP / MRP systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field is an asset
