This role is based in Sudbury, Huntsville, or North Bay, ON, and the Planner (Winter Student) will assist in all aspects of Planning project delivery.

What You’ll Do

As part of the Planning team within the TULLOCH Engineering division, you will:

  • Work on both large and small development projects throughout northern and central Ontario
  • Add value to land through critical thinking and rigorous policy analysis
  • Complete Property Due Diligence on behalf of clients with regard to existing planning permissions and potential highest & best use analysis
  • Prepare Planning Act applications for Consent, Minor Variance, Zoning By-Law Amendments (Rezoning), Official Plan Amendments, and Site Plan Control
  • Attend site meetings / visits to review site constraints & surrounding contexts
  • Liaise with other professionals, municipalities, and government agencies
  • Use AutoCAD and other design applications

What You Should Bring

The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a Land Use Planning program or other relevant field of study. Additionally, you should have:

  • Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD (considered an asset)

  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

  • Valid Class G driver’s licence
