Emergency Medicine Physician (SMG) Southern Acute Resources Group (ARG)

WVU Medicine, West Virginia University Health System Medical Group (WVUHS Medical Group), is recruiting Emergency Medicine Physicians for our Acute Resource Group (ARG). The ARG is a mobile group supporting emergency departments across West Virginia and Pennsylvania, with potential expansion to other states. They ensure high-quality care in various facilities, all using or transitioning to Epic Electronic Medical System within 12 months.

Responsibilities:

• Practice Emergency Medicine across WVU Health System Emergency Departments, including Bluefield, Braxton, Princeton, Summersville, and Thomas Hospitals.

Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree or foreign equivalent.
• Board Certified/Eligible, residency trained in Emergency Medicine preferred; consideration given to Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physicians with experience.
• Must be eligible for and maintain a valid state license.
• Qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The Department of Emergency Medicine has over 200 full-time members across diverse sites, offering various clinical opportunities anchored by an academic affiliation with WVU's School of Medicine.

Provides comprehensive acute and emergency services, located near outdoor recreational sites like Summersville Lake.

Thomas Memorial Hospital

Based in Charleston, with easy access to arts, recreation, and culture, at the confluence of the Kanawha and Elk rivers.
