We’re currently seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Yorkville clinic. This is a full-time, 4–5 days per week, in-clinic role.

Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship & Care Coordination: Build strong relationships with clients, address concerns, ensure positive outcomes; coordinate care and refer to specialists as needed; write and renew prescriptions; book quarterly appointments and follow-up visits
  • Client Intake & Assessments: Conduct thorough medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations; order and interpret lab tests, imaging, and other assessments
  • Treatment Planning & Implementation: Recommend and implement individualized treatment plans under supervision; prescribe medications and therapies that meet provincial laws and clinic protocols
  • Clinical Procedures: Perform routine procedures such as pap tests, wound care, and other clinical tasks
  • Client Education: Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and condition management
  • Record Keeping & Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records using the clinic’s EHR system
  • Medical Support for Dr. Cook: Assist with scripting and follow-through for Dr. Cook’s client appointments
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work with physicians, NDs, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure coordinated care; support multidisciplinary team focused on outcomes and innovation
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education to stay current with advancements in functional and integrative medicine
  • Quality Improvement & Clinic Operations: Support clinic-wide initiatives to improve care quality and operational efficiency
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current Physician Assistant registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) or equivalent from another Canadian provincial jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care, integrative medicine, or a functional medicine setting
  • Strong knowledge of functional medicine principles and practices
  • Knowledge / experience / interest in preventative medicine and longevity is an asset
  • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
