Role Accountabilities

• Ensure precise record‑keeping and prescription information from nursing staff is filled via dispensary software.
• Prepare medication for compliance packaging and maintain workflow for receiving and processing prescriptions within timelines.
• Assist with pharmacy inventory management and potentially operate automated dispensing machine (PacMed) for processing and filling prescriptions.
• Manage returns and expired products from nursing homes, including unpacking, sorting and disposal of medications.
• Prepare creams and liquids, and generate daily and weekly production reports.
• Maintain stock levels, reorder medications, and prepare both manual and automated compliance packaging.
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment.

What You Will Bring To The Team

• Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program is preferred, but not required — training will be provided for the position.
• Experience with KROLL and/or PacMed an asset.
• Visual acuity, numeracy, detail oriented, manual dexterity required for appropriate handling of strip packs, prescription bottles and labels.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.

Location

This is an on‑site role at our 17969 106 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5S 2H1 and follows a five‑day workweek (Monday to Friday – 10am‑6pm) with participation in weekend rotations.
