Job description

Perform direct patient care by dispensing prescription medication and educating patients in accordance with provincial regulations. You’ll verify prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness—checking interactions, allergies, dose, frequency, and form—while preserving patient confidentiality.

Collaborate with health care professionals and a Registered Technician to resolve drug therapy problems, conduct full medication reviews, and recruit patients for health and wellness clinics. You’ll also adapt and extend prescriptions and administer injections where permitted.

About the role: Pharmacist

In this position, you will operate at the fullest scope of pharmacy practice, overseeing patient medical histories and maintaining confidential records. You’ll conduct medication reconciliations, order lab tests, and perform follow-up to ensure optimal therapy under provincial regulations.

You will act as Pharmacist-In-Charge in the manager’s absence—supervising interns and students, managing dispensary operations, and upholding Costco Pharmacy’s policies, safety, and security procedures to deliver consistent, quality service.
