Overview

Join Our Compassionate Team at IHAL! In-Home Assisted Living Inc. (IHAL) is looking for dedicated, compassionate, and reliable Ukrainian Speaking Caregivers/Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our family. We have part-time and full-time homecare shifts available for candidates to serve our valued clients in South Etobicoke. Location: 427 & Brown's Line.

What You'll Do
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform household tasks such as vacuuming, laundry, dishes, and organizing to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on client preferences and dietary needs.
  • Medication Support: Provide reminders for medication and monitor schedules to ensure timely administration.
  • Mobility Assistance: Support clients with walking, mobility, and transfers to/from beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.
  • Emotional Support: Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversations to reduce isolation and enhance well-being.
  • Monitor & Report: Complete daily reports to communicate care activities and observations to the Case Manager and healthcare team.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience as a PSW.
  • Certification: Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate is required.
  • Language Requirement: Ukrainian speaking
  • First Aid/CPR: Current CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred but not required).
  • Technology: Access to a mobile phone for time tracking and care plan updates.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to respond calmly and efficiently to unexpected situations.
