Job description

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, providing exceptional service, and ensuring that clients’ personal insurance needs are met with professionalism and care.

The Account Manager will act as a trusted advisor to clients, supporting them with policy servicing, renewals, coverage reviews, and claims guidance.

Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Retention

Manage a portfolio of personal lines clients, providing excellent day-to-day service.

Conduct proactive renewal reviews and identify opportunities for coverage improvements.

Provide professional advice and guidance on coverage, policy changes, and claims processes.

Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing client accounts.

Support the brokerage in meeting retention and growth targets.

Policy Administration

Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and new applications accurately and on time.

Ensure all client files are compliant, and documentation is completed according to industry standards and brokerage procedures.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurer products, underwriting guidelines, and market trends.

Work closely with insurance company partners to secure competitive solutions for clients.

Support team members with workload sharing during peak times.

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Proven ability to build long-term client relationships with a customer-first mindset.

Level 1 (minimum) or Level 2 General Insurance License in Alberta.

Completed or working toward CAIB, CIP, CRM, or other industry designations (preferred).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in personal lines insurance account management.

Strong knowledge of personal lines products (home, auto, condo, tenant, recreational, etc.).

Experience with broker management systems (EPIC) is an asset.
