A public utilities regulator in Toronto is seeking a People and Culture (HR) & Payroll Assistant for a 12-month contract. The role involves supporting payroll processing, assisting with HR tasks, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have a relevant diploma, payroll certification, and experience in a unionized environment. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required for this position.
Reporting to the People Operations Manager, the People and Culture (HR) & Payroll Assistant will provide HR and payroll support to meet timelines, reconciliation and reporting requirements as well as coordinate and facilitate administrative processes to ensure efficient P&C operations. Responsibilities also include researching and providing recommendations on business solutions to support operational initiatives, supporting programs, data entry and integrity and leading specialized projects as required.
This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extending.
