Job summary

A collaborative not-for-profit organization in Surrey, BC is seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to support its HR team. This hybrid role involves employee relations, performance management, and HR legislation. Ideal candidates will have 1+ years of HR experience, proficiency in HRIS platforms, and strong communication skills. Pay rate ranges from $23-24.50 per hour. Initial onboarding requires onsite work for 2-3 days/week.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of progressive HR experience including strong support in employee relations.
  • Experience in government, not-for-profit, Indigenous, or public-sector environments supporting a workforce of 200–500 employees.
  • Strong working knowledge of BC and federal employment legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day employee relations support.
  • Managing performance improvement plans and supporting compliant terminations.
  • Participating in organizational committees.
