Job summary

A multi-service, non-profit organization in Ontario is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist in Sioux Lookout. This role requires the therapist to assess and rehabilitate children with various occupational performance issues while working alongside a multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include developing treatment plans and advocating for clients. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a pediatric setting will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to use a wide range of assessment tools.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessments of children referred through Intake on the basis of functional and developmental concerns.
  • Develop programming based on initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients for service, equipment, and funding.

Skills

Knowledge of normal/abnormal child development
Proficiency in occupational therapy techniques
Sensitivity to the needs of parents/caregivers
Ability to work creatively with clients
Fluency in French

Education

Masters or Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapy of Ontario
