Overview

Payroll and Benefits Administrator – 6-8 Month Contract Kelowna

  • Location: Kelowna, BC
  • Full-Time Contract
  • Reporting to Head of HR
  • Pay 35.00-44.00/hour
  • Fully on-site – no remote work available

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy and compliance? Do you have at least 4 years of recent payroll experience and a deep understanding of benefits administration? If so, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees with precision and timeliness
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all Provincial and Federal Payroll laws
  • Record of Employment processing and T4 reporting
  • Process vacation tracking and reconcile with payroll data
  • Administer employee benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee payroll and benefit inquiries
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to reconcile payroll and benefits data
  • Manage annual benefits enrollment and support open enrollment activities
  • Stay up to date with payroll and benefits legislation and make recommendations for improvements
What You Bring
  • Minimum 4 years of recent Canadian payroll processing experience
  • Proficiency in payroll/ HRIS software preferably Dayforce
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and exceptional Excel skills
  • Payroll Compliance Professional Designation (PCP) preferred
  • Bachelor Degree with a focus on finance/accounting/HR an asset
  • Solid understanding of benefit programs and compliance requirements
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
