Overview

Spring Learning Services provides person-centered, values-driven, hands-on ABA therapy for children aged 2-16 in Simcoe and York Region. Our evidence-based ABA services are designed to be engaging and fun, available both in-home and in the community. We strive to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families through personalized and effective therapeutic approaches.

Role Description

This is a part-time role for a Supervised Learning Therapist located in Barrie, ON. The Supervised Learning Therapist will be responsible for implementing ABA therapy programs as guided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Daily tasks include conducting therapy sessions, collecting data, and implementing child-led and naturalistic ABA therapy. The therapist will work closely with children and their families to deliver effective and engaging therapy sessions in-home and community settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct therapy sessions with children in-home and in community settings.
  • Collect and document data to monitor progress and inform program adjustments.
  • Use child-led and naturalistic strategies to promote learning and engagement.
  • Collaborate with families to support generalization of skills across settings.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with neurodivergent or autistic children, teens and / or adults
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Ability to have fun and effectively support children in learning
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Relevant certification or training in ABA, CYW, ECE or related field
  • Post-secondary education such as diploma or bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field is a plus
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the service area
  • Positive attitude, patience, and a passion for making a difference in children’s lives
