Part-Time Elementary Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning Oakville North is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed English/Math teacher to join our staff. Our centre has been growing, and we seek qualified teachers to meet the demand.

Responsibilities (Position Details)

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Teaching in-person
• Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Filling in post-lesson notes
• Completing daily student communication updates
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Fourth-year university students with some tutoring experience will be considered; excellent third-year university students with extensive tutoring experience will also be considered
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 9 curriculum

Candidate Profile

• Confidence teaching both English and Math curriculum from Grades 1 - 8
• Experience in either teaching or tutoring
• Strong English language written and oral communication skills
• Strong ability to organize and multi-task

Compensation & Schedule

Rate of Pay: $19.00 / hour to start

• Evenings, 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
• Monday to Thursday
• Saturday availability, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
