Part‑Time Elementary & High School Tutor

Join Oxford Learning Centres Inc. as a part‑time Teacher‑Tutor providing pre‑planned lessons to elementary students in reading, writing, math, and French, and to high school students in math, physics, chemistry, biology, and English. This role eliminates lesson planning so you can focus on teaching.

Position Overview

• Work 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm after‑school and evening hours.
• Commit to the 2025‑26 school year (ending June 26, 2025) with optional summer extension.
• In‑person instruction at Oxford Learning Don Valley, 110‑2810 Victoria Park Ave., North York, ON.
• Must commute locally; no relocation packages.
• Complete mandatory vulnerable‑sector background screening.

Schedule

• Evenings (Mon‑Thu); Saturday availability is optional but an asset.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Third‑year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Teaching certification or training is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.
  • Knowledge of high‑school sciences and math is an asset.
  • French language teaching is an asset but not required.
Experience
  • Some experience teaching or tutoring K‑12 (or equivalent).
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills.
  • Ability to teach French is highly desired.
  • Ability to multitask and manage up to three students concurrently.
Responsibilities
