A leading global transportation technology provider in London, Ontario is seeking an experienced painter. The successful candidate will work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment collaborating with a team to meet production goals. Responsibilities include operating overhead cranes and maintaining a safe workspace. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of industrial painting experience and a strong attention to detail. Unifin International, a Wabtec Company in London, Ontario, was originally founded in the 1920’s. We are an electric equipment cooling company, focused on the power generation and transmission markets. Our primary business is within North America, but we reach worldwide from legacy fossil fuel and nuclear plants to growing renewable energy power grids.
As a member of the team at Unifin International, you will be working with one senior painter to learn Unifin’s painting processes. You will report to the Production Supervisor and work with 38 experienced team members from various departments.
We are looking for an individual who has the knowledge, skills, and experience to fulfill an important painter role. This vital role will learn and gain experience to become an experienced painter on Unifin’s nonstandard product. This individual is initiative‑taking, willing to listen and learn, take guidance from senior employees, and willing to put in time and effort to be a future leader in the paint department.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift and or move up to 50 bs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
Safety glasses, steel‑toed safety shoes and hearing protection must be worn for the entirety of the shift.
