Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within packaging, production, or a related industry.
  • Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of GPP, SOPs, and Cannabis Regulations.
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and experience with greenhouse or compliance software.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret and write technical documentation.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.

Packaging Manager at Insight Recruitment Inc. Reporting to the VP, Operations.

Are you an experienced packaging professional with a strong background in regulated industries? We are seeking a Packaging Manager to oversee our packaging operations and lead a motivated team to success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, plan, and coordinate the daily duties of Packaging staff, ensuring timely and accurate task completion.
  • Provide direction, training, and ongoing feedback to foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
  • Monitor performance, ensuring adherence to best practices, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated packaging equipment and systems.
  • Track packaging activities and inventory, including raw materials, finished goods, and supplies.
  • Complete and submit accurate documentation, batch records, logs, and production metrics to Quality Assurance.
  • Maintain compliance with GPP, SOPs, and Cannabis Regulations; partner with QA to resolve deviations.
  • Use compliance software for data entry and tracking to ensure audit-ready documentation.
  • Continuously evaluate workflows to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize yield.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by following and enforcing health & safety protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
