Job summary

A logistics company is seeking a Package Handler to join their team, focusing on unloading and sorting freight. The ideal candidate will lift up to 70 lbs and demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and reliability. Working on an on-call basis, the shifts are Monday to Thursday from 8:00pm to 1:30am and Fridays from 8:00pm to 2:30am at a pay rate of $18 per hour along with weekly pay and 4% vacation pay offered.

Qualifications

• Steel Toed Safety boots/shoes which are CSA Approved.
• Strong customer focus and communication.
• Attention to process, quality, and operational standards.

Job Title: Package Handler On Call

Location: Mount Hope, ON

Shifts: ON Call Shifts (Monday to Thursday 8:00pm - 1:30am and Fridays 8:00pm to 2:30am)

Pay rate: $18 per hour.

What’s the Job?

• Unloading and sorting freight.
• Preload while pulling assigned freight off conveyor belt, Scanning, cubing, reweighting.
• Build positive relationships with teams (couriers, lead hands and sorters).
• Working with conveyor and roller belts, inside trailers, cargo containers and package vehicles.
• Accurately scan, count the number of stops on a truck and write all premium products while loading.

What’s Needed?

• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
• Should have a Steel Toed Safety boots/shoes which are CSA Approved
• Strong customer focus and communication
• Attention to process, quality, and operational standards.
• Reliable and punctual behavior.
