About Our Client:

Our client is a well‑established Canadian supplier of building materials, known for servicing the full spectrum of contractors with a strong focus on specialized, niche products. They are currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join their team in Kelowna, supporting customers throughout the Interior of British Columbia.

This role is responsible for developing and strengthening long‑term relationships with contractors, as well as manufacturers, engineers, consultants, and other industry stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring strong B2B sales experience, a proven track record of success, and a consultative approach to selling. Comprehensive technical training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors and other industry partners across the Interior of BC
  • Act as a technical liaison, providing product knowledge, on‑site support, and solutions‑based recommendations
  • Present product information and advise customers on appropriate product selection
  • Promote and sell sealants, coatings, and all other distributed product lines
  • Identify customer needs and recommend additional or alternative products as required
  • Train customers on new products and systems as they become available
  • Prepare accurate quotes and provide pricing and supply information
  • Ensure timely order processing, delivery coordination, and warranty follow‑up
  • Conduct site visits to customer projects to support product use and performance
  • Analyze customer challenges and provide effective problem‑solving solutions
  • Maintain a high level of service and responsiveness to contractor needs
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and develop new accounts
  • Promote product usage with architects, designers, engineers, governing bodies, contractors, sub‑trades, strata councils, and property maintenance firms
  • Establish and manage pricing in accordance with company pricing guidelines
  • Review monthly sales activity by customer and report on territory performance against budget
  • Assist with overflow customer calls, order processing, and technical inquiries as needed
  • Provide vacation coverage for Inside Sales staff
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of B2B outside sales experience, preferably within construction or a related industry
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, closing new business, and growing existing accounts
  • Technical aptitude to understand waterproofing and sealants and related products
  • Experience working with distributors and manufacturers and selling value‑added products with long sales cycles
