Job summary

A mental health service provider in Ottawa seeks a qualified professional to deliver psychological treatment and manage the intake process for clients within their care. The role requires a graduate-level degree in a health-related or clinical field, registration with a Regulatory College in Ontario, and at least five years of direct experience. Bilingual skills in French and English are desired. The candidate should be familiar with evidence-based CBT treatment and committed to working effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Job description
Duties:
  • Triage and accept referrals per OSP CBT protocols.
  • Assess client suitability for OSP intervention.
  • Manage and evaluate intake process.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using case conceptualization.
  • Provide psychological treatment individually and in groups.
  • Educate and involve families in treatment when appropriate.
  • Complete service related data collection requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of telemedicine standards and guidelines.
  • Provide consultation to professionals, groups and community partners.
  • Contribute to OSP research projects and reporting as needed.u00A0
  • Model behaviours aligned with the LEADS leadership framework.
  • Works in a manner that complies with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of the Royal.u00A0
  • Ensure a work environment that is conducive to the Royalu2019s Anti-Racism, Harassment & Discrimination Free Workplace Policy.u00A0
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of graduate level degree or equivalent (Masters, BScN) in a health-related/clinical field which includes psychotherapy in scope of practice (Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Registered Psychotherapy, Registered Nurse etc) with at least five years of experience (direct service provision) in a health care setting. u00A0
  • Registered in good standing with a Regulatory College in Ontario is mandatory. Autonomous in practice is mandatory.
  • Training and experience delivering evidence-based CBT treatment for depression, anxiety and related disorders.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Indigenous communities, diverse populations, trauma and gender based violence
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary service delivery model is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislated Acts (i.e. MHA, PHIPA, The Health Care Consent Act).
  • Collaborative approach to working with community partners.
  • Works effectively in an automate environment and consistently meets tight deadline and performance benchmarks.
  • Provide intake and support to local and satellite locations. Primary work location can be re-assigned to satellite site.
  • Demonstrated experience in measurement and evaluation, research methodologies, clinical informatics, and health experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Strong conflict resolution and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).u00A0
  • Ability and comfortability working in both a virtual and in person environment to meet our clients needs.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.u00A0 English level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension, expression, reading, and writing. French level A- in oral comprehension and expression considered an asset.
  • Possess a valid driveru2019s license and access to a vehicle.
