Job Summary

The operations analyst is responsible for providing ongoing analytical support to the Operations Management team, as required, by coordinating special projects, compiling statistical analysis, and generating reports and charts. Automated boards for decision-making in the context of general business process improvement. Advising and recommending a course of action is an integral part of this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, report and analyze operational metrics, with critical trend analysis to enable leaders to make informed decisions.
  • Build automated business intelligence reports and dashboards by accessing operations databases.
  • Model data for analysis of labor, overhead, capital and material costs.
  • Analyze data to identify problem areas and suggest improvements.
  • Assist line managers in the planning and control of overhead costs of different departments.
  • Support business development and program teams in project planning.
  • Coordinate special continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate, maintain and facilitate various interdepartmental meetings, presentations and reports.
  • Any other related task.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy when handling reports of a sensitive and confidential nature.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or operations management
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills with a good command of business intelligence tools
  • Skills with ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning), cloud computing and databases
  • Desire to take action and make decisions
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • A strong collaborative communication approach
  • Essential knowledge of French and English an asset (Prepares reports for Ontario head office).
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of accounting or financial planning

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
