Job Description:

This is a 12 month contract role

We are seeking a hands-on consultant to lead the configuration, governance, and ongoing management of our OneTrust Cookie Consent Management Platform. This role will ensure that our websites and mobile applications implement consent functionality in a compliant, consistent, and user-friendly way across all digital properties.

The ideal candidate has experience working at the intersection of privacy regulation, web and app tagging, and customer experience, and is comfortable partnering with Marketing, IT, UX, Legal/Compliance, and Data Governance teams.

What will you do
OneTrust Platform Ownership
  • Administer and configure the OneTrust Consent Management Platform (CMP), including banner templates, preference centers, and geolocation rules.
  • Maintain and version-control cookie classifications, categories, vendor lists, and auto-scans.
  • Manage domain configurations, environment-specific deployments, and tenant governance.
  • Lead regular audits and updates to ensure compliance with applicable laws like Quebec Law 25 and other relevant regulations.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on OneTrust CMP
Implementation & Integration
  • Lead the implementation of consent enforcement logic across:
    • Websites (multiple CMS platforms)
    • Mobile apps
    • Tag managers (Tealium / Adobe Launch)
  • Ensure scripts and tags are gated correctly based on consent state and regional rules.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consent states flow into CDPs.
Governance & Support
  • Develop and maintain documentation, consent QA checklists, and operating playbooks.
  • Support internal teams in implementing new digital experiences requiring consent logic.
  • Establishing and maintaining dashboards and insights on platform adoption and consent rates
  • Train internal stakeholders on consent workflows and best practices.
What you need to succeed
  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Analytics, Tagging, MarTech, Privacy Technology, or related consulting.
  • Exceptionally strong in stakeholder management, problem-solving, and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Works effectively with cross-functional partners, such as Legal/Compliance, IT, Marketing, and UX
  • Hands-on OneTrust or similar CMP experience.
  • Strong understanding of web and mobile data collection, cookies, first-party storage, session identifiers, and privacy-by-design principles.
  • Working knowledge of consent gating logic, ideally within the context of a tag management platform such as Tealium iQ or Adobe Launch.
  • Familiarity, ideally expertise, with global privacy regulations and consent frameworks (e.g. QC Law 25, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR).
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity, ideally expertise, with information security principles.
  • Ability to occasionally work unusual hours to accommodate Asia time zones
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience connecting OneTrust consent signals to:
    • Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) & Web/Mobile SDK
    • Server-side tagging environments
  • Experience working with integrated OneTrust CMP and UCPM ecosystem.
  • Experience with mobile SDK consent frameworks.
  • Experience in enterprise or multi-brand environments.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
