Experienced Nanny / Housekeeper Wanted for a Busy Family in Midtown Toronto

A caring, organized, and reliable Nanny / Housekeeper is needed for a busy family in midtown Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record for effectively managing multiple kids within a busy household, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. There is currently one school‑aged child and one toddler in the home.

  • Full‑time childcare for a 5‑year‑old and 15‑month‑old (with an anaphylactic peanut and sesame allergy)
  • Assist with morning routine (preparing breakfast, getting the big kid ready for school, toddler care, etc.)
  • Dressing and hygiene routines (tooth brushing, bathing, etc.)
  • Drop‑off / pick‑up from school
  • After‑school care, including but not limited to: arranging playdates, organizing crafts / activities, and bringing the big kid to extracurricular activities
  • Feeding the children healthy and nutrient‑dense meals, including breakfast, lunches (packed for school), dinner, and snacks. We have a chef who prepares meals for 3‑4 days of the week. The toddler will mostly eat what the chef prepares for lunch, dinner, and snacks, but the big kid will often need something else prepared for dinner. Both kids usually need breakfast prepared.
  • Maintaining organized and clean child‑focused spaces including, but not limited to: organizing play areas, toys, and craft supplies; maintaining a tidy nursery including dresser drawers and seasonal change over of clothes; deep cleaning stroller and highchair when needed.
  • The toddler currently naps 2 times a day. Nap time will be used to complete the housekeeping tasks below.
  • Family laundry
  • Ordering groceries from Instacart
  • Managing inventory of essential supplies and keeping items stocked (ordered through Amazon or Instacart)
  • Running errands occasionally
  • Making beds (changing sheets is usually done by the housekeeper, but may sometimes be required)
  • Tidying up / organizing, as needed
  • Other tasks pertinent to maintaining a home may be required as needed / when time permits
Requirements and Key Skills
  • Experience as a Nanny / Housekeeper in a private home
  • Experience with infant / toddler care, including baby‑led weaning
  • MUST be patient and kind
  • Must be committed to providing creative and varied meal / snack options for child meal planning (actively battling a very picky eater)
  • Must be positive and provide a cheerful, safe, and nurturing environment
  • Fast learner and ability to complete tasks with minimal input
  • Strong organizational skills to manage all household tasks and family schedule
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to seamlessly adapt within a dynamic environment
  • Confident managing children within a home where parents are present during the day
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • First Aid / CPR certification
  • Comfortable with administering an Epi‑pen
  • Police background check
  • 3 references from previous work in a private home
  • Driver’s licence and / or a car is considered an asset, but is not required

Additional Information
  • Full‑time (50 hours per week)
  • Compensation: commensurate with experience
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am–6 pm
  • Occasional evening and weekend work
