Now Hiring:Municipal Lands Coordinator(Competition#26-20)

Key Responsibilities

Parkland County has an opportunity for a temporary, full-time Municipal Lands Coordinator position in the Strategic Growth department, working until approximately December 2026. Reporting to the Municipal Land Specialist, the Coordinator provides support for the management of Parkland County lands and crown dispositions. Responsibilities include coordinating renewal schedules, payment remittances, all licenses of use, assisting with leases, researching land title encumbrances, drafting and registering legal agreements and documentation, and maintaining accurate records. This position involves working with internal and external partners to ensure legislative requirements and County policies and procedures are followed in the management of County interests.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

  • Apost-secondary certificate in Legal Administration, Business Administration, Land/Property Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with Dominion Land Survey System – Township Mapping and the ability to read survey plans.
  • Experience working with the Torrens Land Titles System, Spin II, Electronic Transfer System (ETS)/Electronic Disposition System (EDS) land software and the ability to interpret land titles.
  • Familiarity with the Municipal Government Act and the Land Titles Act.
  • Experience with Real Estate Conveyancing and/or Real Property Principles would be considered assets.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and D365 applications.
  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license and ability to provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract.

The total rewards package for this position includes: A starting annual salary of $62,400to $70,300, based on a 35-hour work week and the option to join the Earned Day Off Program.
